Account and access

I tried to sign up and it says "Registration failed"

In most cases it means there is already a previous registration with that email that was never confirmed.

When you sign up, ENDU creates a pending account and sends you an email with the confirmation link. Until you click it:

  • the account is not active and login does not work;
  • the email address still counts as already taken;
  • a new registration attempt with the same email fails.

For security reasons the error message is generic and does not say whether the address already exists: this avoids revealing which emails are registered on ENDU.

Option A (recommended): confirm the registration that already exists

Look for the ENDU email in your mailbox and click the confirmation link: the registration is completed exactly as it was, no need to do it again.

  • Sender: ENDU, noreply@endu.info
  • Where to look: Inbox, Spam / Junk and, on Gmail, also the Promotions and Updates tabs
  • Quick search: search for from:noreply@endu.info in your mail

If you clicked Resend code several times you will find several emails: they all work, use the most recent one.

Option B: wait 24 hours and sign up again

The pending registration is deleted automatically 24 hours after the first attempt. After that you can sign up again with the same address. Again, confirm the link within 24 hours, otherwise you end up in the same situation.

Does the confirmation link say it has expired or is invalid? The link is valid for 24 hours: go back to the confirmation page and use Resend code to get a new one, or wait for the pending registration to expire and sign up from scratch.

If you tried “Forgot password” and nothing arrives, the reason is the same: password recovery only works on accounts that have already been confirmed.
